Building Happy Classrooms: Integrating Positive Education for Life-Skills Development

DESCRIPTION

This course challenges the traditional educational paradigm by promoting well-being and happiness in both the classroom and beyond. The course draws from Positive Psychology, a scientific approach that focuses on human flourishing, and integrates these principles into education to help young people thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

This course introduces the fundamentals of Positive Psychology, focusing on strengths and virtues that enable individuals, communities, and organizations to succeed. It combines international theories and techniques with practical tools for educators to apply in their schools. Additionally, mindfulness is introduced as a method for enhancing self-awareness, relaxation, and goal achievement, improving both personal well-being and professional effectiveness.

Participants will gain the skills to design educational programs that not only emphasize academic excellence but also nurture character strengths and overall well-being. The course will be hands-on and self-reflective, ensuring that educators leave with practical tools and strategies that can be immediately implemented in their classrooms.
